Set up for the participant

My name is Michael Clingerman, I'm a graduate student at Kent State University's graduate program for user experience design. I'm working on My Capstone graduate project. the focus of this project is the integration of a smart kitchen refrigerator that's connected to the Amazon Alexa platform. This platform has many capabilities. my questions are designed to discover what might be possible in a smart kitchen and what users might expect if anything's possible.  There's really no wrong answer. Again this is an exploratory experiment into the discovery of what might be possible and what you might expect regarding searching for foods, finding new food recipes, acquiring ingredients, learning to cook recipes, and sharing your experiences. If it any point during the questions you have questions of your own feel free to take a break and ask. This should definitely be a fun experience don't take it too seriously. Again there's really no wrong answer.

Here's a little bit about what you might see in front of you when standing in your kitchen. Let's say you walked into your kitchen. Let's say your kitchen had a SMART refrigerator  And the Alexa Amazon system was built into the refrigerator. You could speak to the refrigerator with the door closed or open. The Fridge is equipped with a large screen on the door that could help you discover new foods. The screen is large. The screen feels a lot like an oversized tablet that's quite tall. This interactive tool also has other applications on it that are similar to a phone.  The application you'll be using is the Amazon-Kitchen-Assistant.

Again, there are five areas of focus I would like to ask you questions about. They span from searching for foods to sharing your experiences with friends.

Would it be okay if we start the session?
